Bechara Samnehm (he/him) is the Executive Director of MOSAIC – MENA Organization for Services, Advocacy, Integration and Capacity Building, where he leads programmes on humanitarian response, protection, research, advocacy, and capacity building for LGBTIQ+ communities across Lebanon and the SWANA region. He also serves as the West Asia Representative on the ILGA Asia Board. Bechara is currently pursuing a PhD at Ruhr University Bochum, where his research examines queer humanitarianism, forced displacement, and the intersection of humanitarian action and LGBTIQ+ rights. His work bridges academic research and frontline humanitarian practice, with a particular focus on advancing inclusive protection systems for marginalized communities.
